JUST IN: New music label logo design.

Sooner or later, everybody plays the popular game "paper, scissors rock"(or a combo thereof). Here's our logo design for the newly formed music label "Paper Scissors Rock". We don't think this label will be playing any games however when it comes to music, management and encouraging artist's creativity.

It's been commented that the "rock hand" can also appear to be two band members acknowledging the crowd post encore. A friend of ours said "It looks like Peter Buck and Michael Stipe".

We'll leave that up to you good folks...

A company web site is coming soon, as is some label merchandising (we hope!). The logo is screaming to be on a t shirt and hat, etc.

Logoville.

A little change of pace: Here's a new logo we just finished creating for a new woodworking company called Appalachia Woodcraft. They will be producing fine outdoor furniture in the Adirondack tradition. The earth tone colors worked well in relation to the product and communicating the idea of what is involved in the producing of these beautiful pieces (trees, wood, etc).
Since some amazing craftsmanship is involved, we wanted the mark to have a hand done, slightly rough feel (see detail).

We tried unsuccessfully to fight the urge to feature the Blue Ridge Mountains somehow, seemed very fitting for the feel we were after (and the company's name sake, duh). The company will eventually have a web site where you can custom order your chair, table, etc. All hand made. More info soon.

Band hires Get a Clue Design for logo/tee shirt

A local band has hired us to design their logo and tee shirts. As you've likely gathered, the band's name is 20/20, so the "vision" we had (sorry) was to keep it simple and at the same time, create a tasteful nod to John Lennon. They loved it.

For the tee shirt merchandise we went in the direction of a color blind test graphic, fun and quite useful! Check it out, and hopefully you see the band name in the middle of these shirt designs...if not, add "color blind" to your list of accomplishments.

Red Ghost Music Label Designs

Red Ghost Music has hired Get a Clue Design to help with their identity and some merch, namely, a t-shirt. Red Ghost describes themselves this way: "Red Ghost Music is a boutique-style, full-service music company. We are extremely selective and, consequently, intensely loyal to the artists we work with. " Sounds good to us...

New "Get a Clue Design Studio Identities" book.

A sneak peak at our new small book of identity design.
Spans quite a few years of work, condensed into 96 pages, oof.

Also added a small movie as a virtual page turner...watch closely, it goes FAST.

Was nice to work on this without ever hearing the expression: "Can you make the logo BIGGER?"
Thanks go to Patrick Pendergast for putting this all together!
